History

1966

Friedrich Weingärtner founded Weingärtner Maschinenbau GmbH in Kirchham near Vorchdorf, Austria.

1971

Alongside contract manufacturing, we began pursuing the production of our own machines, from planning to the finished product, establishing it as a second pillar of our business.

1984

Weingärtner made significant investments in the development of machine tools based on underutilized whirling technology. This revolutionary concept of whirling machines and custom-developed software for tooling technology set new standards in screw manufacturing for the plastics industry.

1986

We celebrated our 20th anniversary by expanding our production area to meet the growing demand.

1991

Owner Friedrich Weingärtner Senior announced the acquisition of our former competitor, "Linsinger Maschinenbau," during our 25th anniversary.

1996

As we marked our 30th anniversary, the increasing number of employees, reaching 130, necessitated a further expansion of our production area in Kirchham.

2000

Friedrich and Andreas Weingärtner were appointed as the new managing directors of Weingärtner Maschinenbau GmbH. We inaugurated a modernized company building, a new 1000 m² assembly hall for our machines, and a 550 m² office building.

2003

We proudly introduced the world to our revolutionary mpmc (multi-product machining center) turning/milling centers, poised to redefine the machining industry. The size and weight of the new machines led to the construction of yet another assembly hall.

2004

Tragically, on December 25th, Friedrich Weingärtner Senior passed away, leaving a profound legacy.

2006

We joyously celebrated our 40th anniversary with an open day event, attended by loyal customers, high-profile visitors, and the general public.

2007

Our mpmc machine centers successfully entered the realm of complete machining of large crankshafts, attracting the attention of energy producers worldwide. This marked the beginning of a new era, bringing in new customers and contracts.

2011

We restructured the Weingärtner Group companies into a holding company, streamlining our operations. Furthermore, Weingärtner Kirchham expanded once again, adding another 6,800 m².

2016

We proudly reached our 50th anniversary, celebrating half a century of inspiration, forward thinking, and continuous development. Our wealth of experience and longstanding traditions served as fertile grounds for our innovative spirit and high performance.
Solution Days: To commemorate 50 successful years, we organized Solution Days, a three-day event held directly at our premises. Long-standing customers, as well as the general public, participated in guided tours of our production halls, experiencing the unique expertise of Weingärtner firsthand.
